The Nydian people have finally won a decades-long independence struggle. Now what? Long an ethnic minority ruled by the powerful Steinard Kingdom, the Nydians have finally earned their independence after 18 years of bloodshed. Now a free people, the 'Founding Fathers' who orchestrated the rebellion have to determine what kind of nation they will be. Will they entrust a hero of the revolution to rule as a monarch in exchange for noble titles? Will they reject royalty and become a Republic instead? A mixture of both? Or something entirely new? Whatever they choose, they'll have to make the transition into a functioning nation that can find its place in the world, and defend itself from threats.
This wiki will document the evolution of the newly independent Nydian State in the countless challenges and dilemmas it will need to navigate through in the uncertain world of Seren. Join us and together we'll write the history of an entire nation - start to finish.
